Happy New Year from Uurna

Updated: Jul 10

We look forward to an exciting 2022.

There are good events and projects to come, and awareness of our urns is spreading more and more. There are many helpful people who lend a hand, thanks to all of you. Special thanks to Fuglebjerg Kistefabrik and Nordic Funeral for bringing our file tours beyond the steppes. With Nordic Funeral's new catalogue, we are on our way to other Scandinavian countries, just as we are also in Fuglebjerg Kistefabrik's catalogue. In addition, with a blog and newsletters, we will do our part to ensure that file tours become a well-known option prior to a funeral.

At Filtværket, we are busy producing the well-known urns, and at the same time we are experimenting with new wool types and expressions. You will see that.

A felted LØG urn inspired by the shape of an onion, in green and white colours. Closed with a green string.

In the first week of the year, we sent 5 onion urns out into the world, and we take that as a good sign for a budding new year.

We are sending this first newsletter/blog post to those of you who already know us or even sell our file turns. You are on the map where we refer to you.

From now on, we will send you an email a few times a year. You can always unsubscribe if you do not wish to hear from us. If you want to know more about our woolen urn projects, you can also check our Facebook and Instagram profiles .

P.S. We now know for sure that a woolly urn turns to mulch in about a year, so they definitely comply with the usual conservation period.
